Another messy desk day

I'm a mess maker. I'm not sure how I do so well at it, but if people paid for the messes I can make, than I wouldn't be waitressing in order to go to school in the fall.
It's not like I even think about it. I just set stuff down and move on. Then later, when I set more stuff down I notice that the pile is begining to grow. And a while after that, it seems like I've burried my life down under.
A few random items that have managed to find their way into the pile include a doodled on lesson from the Young adults group (Emmaus) that I attend, a cut out of a lovely looking moca coffee that I hope to someday incorporate into a collage, some pieces of scrap fabric that I've been wanting to sew onto my plane blue hoddie to give it some life, and a Nalgine water bottle that has been sitting on my desk for over a month waiting to be thrown out (okay, I will admit that is gross, give me a second to go chuck that one out!).
Okey dokey, back on track. Oh! exciting news! I finished my applications and have got everythign (except the money) sent off to the two colleges I've applied for. :) hurray!

Miss Rag Quilt 2008

Well folks the votes have been cast and the count is in. The winner of this years Miss Rag Quilt 2008 is... "Oh, thank you! Thank you all! It is such an honor to be chosen for this title. I have worked many hours on my quilt and know that I will enjoy it emencly. I would like to thank my sponsor, Auntie Rachel of Piece by Piece Quilts. Without her generous donation of the fantastic fabric I would not have been able to put this all together!"

And without further adue, here are some pictures of the finished project.
